Various Cooking Methods for Loofah
Steamed Garlic Gourd
Peel and wash the gourd, cut into small pieces. Flatten and chop the garlic cloves. Prepare the sauce: soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, sugar (ratio 2:1:1:1), mix well.
Steam the gourd in a steamer for about 5 minutes. Take out the steamed gourd.
Heat the oil in a hot pan, stir-fry the garlic until fragrant, then pour in the prepared sauce and garlic, stir-fry evenly. Use medium-low heat throughout. Finally, pour the sauce over the gourd.
Stir-fried Gourd with Sausage
Peel and wash the gourd, cut into small pieces. Thinly slice the sausage.
Heat the oil in a hot pan, add the gourd and a small amount of salt, stir-fry until soft.
Then add the sausage slices and quickly stir-fry.
Stir-fried Gourd with Shiitake Mushrooms
Peel and wash the gourd, cut into large pieces. Tear and wash the shiitake mushrooms, drain the water. Beat the eggs.
Heat the oil in a hot pan, stir-fry the gourd until it changes color, then add the shiitake mushrooms and salt, stir-fry until soft.
Pour the beaten eggs over the gourd and shiitake mushrooms, stir-fry briefly after they solidify.
Stir-fried Gourd with Eggs
Peel and wash the gourd, cut into pieces; beat the eggs into a liquid.
Heat oil in a hot pot, fry the egg liquid into an egg skin, then mash it with a spatula and set aside in a bowl.
Put a little lard in the pot, stir-fry the loofah until soft. Finally, add the shredded egg skin and stir-fry with the loofah evenly.
Loofah with Oyster Sauce
Cut the loofah into small long pieces.
Heat oil in a hot pot, add the loofah pieces and stir-fry until they change color over medium heat.
Add seasoning: soy sauce, sugar, salt, oyster sauce, mix well, then pour in a small amount of hot water. Bring to a boil over high heat and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Leave a little gravy and turn off the heat.
Loofah with Potato
Peel and wash the loofah and cut it into pieces; peel the potatoes and slice them thinly, then rinse and drain the water.
Heat oil in a hot pot, stir-fry the loofah until soft.
Add the potato slices to the pot, add salt and soy sauce, stir-fry quickly and evenly.
Loofah with Fried Dough Sticks
Peel and wash the loofah, cut it into strips; cut the fried dough sticks into strips with scissors or tear them by hand; wash the small chili peppers and chop them; flatten and peel the garlic, then slice it.
Heat oil in a hot pot, first stir-fry the chopped chili peppers and garlic until fragrant, then add the loofah strips and stir-fry with salt until they change color and soften.
Finally, pour in the fried dough sticks and stir-fry quickly and evenly.
Loofah with Beef Strips
Cut the beef into thick shreds and marinate it with the prepared sauce for 20 minutes. Peel and cut the ridged gourd and set aside.
Heat the oil in a hot wok, stir-fry the beef until it changes color, then add the ridged gourd, salt, and light soy sauce and stir-fry for a while.
Pour a small bowl of water into the wok and simmer the ridged gourd and beef for 3 minutes. Cook over high heat until the sauce thickens.
